October 4, !£he Independent, of this morning, referring to an article in the Otago DailyTimes reported in the Evening Post of last njght, accusing the Qovernment of having made use of the telegrams of the Press Association, says :—'* The Times, in saying that the Q-oyernment took their telegrams or any portion of them and gave them to us, is guilty not only of indecency, but libel in its most .criminal and aggravated form," Mr Gillon, the "Wellington agent of the Press Telegraph Association, is now Editor of the Evening Post.
