Adjutant of the Militia and Volunteers in the Hutt and Taita portion of the Wellington Militia District. The Government Moorings are about to be shifted —that being one of the objects of the Sturt's present visit to this port. Operations were to commence at daybreak this morning. Dr Scott met with rather a severe accident on Friday last. Going out of the back door of Mr Topping's house, on the Spit, he slipped and fell down, breaking his leg in the fall. He was at once conveyed to the Provincial Hospital. We hear he is progressing favorably.
