The p.B. .Comerang, Captain Chrisp, left Wellington at 4 p.m. on Monday, February 14. Experienced heavy N.W. gale rounding Cape Palliser, and strong W.S.W. wind till arrival in port at midnight on Tuesday. The Comerang will leave for Poverty Bay and Auckland at 5 o'clock this evening, with cattle and sheep. The 3.5. Lord Ashley, Captain Wheeler, left Wellington at §.30 a.m. on Tuesday last, passed Cape Palliser at noon the same day, and arrived here at 6 a.m. yesterday, having experienced fresh westerly wind, with fine weather, on the passage. She steamed northwards at 12.30 yesterday. The schooner Success sailed for Waimarama on Tuesday, and returned to port yesterday, bringing up 45 hales wool. The cutter Glimpse put into this port yesterday morning for water, and resumed her voyage during the afternoon. This vessel is engaged in taking wool from the coast to Wellington. The schooner Hero, with general cargo, sailed for Wairoa on Tuesday evening last. She will be followed, probably to-day, by the Three Brothers. A ketch—probably the Eagle, from Wangapoa, with timber —anchored in the roadstead this morning, just as we were going to press.
