The Weather during the last clay or two has been beautifully hue. An English Mail will be despatched per s.s. Wellington on Wednesday next. Sixty Laborers, engaged by the Government, arrived by the Star of the South from Auckland on Friday night. Coal.—Mr J. H. Yautier announces a reduction in the price of coal—that fuel being now obtainable from him at 35s per ton for cash. Mr A. Koch, formerly of rhe Survey Office, Napier, with Mrs Koch and family left for Auckland in the Star of the South last night. Members of the ' Hawke's Bay Provident, Land, Building, and Investment Society are informed that the hecond monthly subscription is due to-morrow evening; and for the convenience of residents at the port the Treasurer and one of the trustees will attend at Mr Trask's Hotel this evening, for the purpose of enrolling members, receiving subscriptions, <fcc..
. Nebula. —The racehorse Nebula, which, as will be seen elsewhere, won several races at Auckland at the annual meeting, has been purchased bv Mr "Watt, of Napier, and arrived by the Star of the South on Friday night last.
