Fatal Accident at Wairoa.— On Friday, the Bth inst., a private of the Armed Constabulary, whose name we Lave been unable ro ascertain, was riding on the road, and, stopped his horse in order to arrange his pack. The horse suddenly took fright and bolted, striking his rider's head violently against Carter's veranda, fracturing the skull, and causing almost immediate death. An inquest was held at the redoubt on the following morning, and a verdict of "Accidental death" Was returned. The poor fellow was buried on the afternoon of the 9th, with military honors, '
