PROBABLE OPENING OF THE CQtfNTBY. (From the Thames Times, 2nd Oct.) We hayo received intelligence from out own correspondent at Ohinemuri to tha effect that Te Hira has sent a message to O'Connor, by means of a native named Ta Kere, to the effect that he intends to sea him (O'Connor) on a matter that would be good and pleasing to the diggers, O'Connor went up to Ohinemuri accord, ingly on Thursday, and was to have had an interview with Te Hira yesterday. Our correspondent surmises that Te Hira will probably withdraw his opposition to tha opening of the land for gold-mining.
