AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET. Reports for the week ending Friday, Sept. 24. [MESSRS, CAREY AND GILLES.] "We have to report that the markets for botli beef and mutton were well supplied during the week, and prices ruling were simlar to, if any a shade higher than last quotations. Grown store cattle were in demand, and sold at advanced prices. Young stock were disposed of at very high rates, bringing for yearlings from £3 15s to £5 5s : two-year-olds, £6 to £7 10s. Sheep were penned in large numbers, and those or" really good quality found ready purchasers, while inferior lots were difficult to quit. Pigs of all classes were readily competed for, and sold well. On Wednesday, at the Junction Yards, we obtained the following pricess : Fat Cattle ex Keera, from Wanganui, realised £ll 7s Gd to £l4 10s, or 40s to 42s per 100 lbs, ex Star of the South, from Napier, £l2 5s to £l6 per head, or 43s to 45s per 100 lbs. Store cattle, ex Keera, were disposed of at £8 15s to £ll 2s Gd; dairy cows realized £lO 10.to £l4 10s each. Fat sheep, ex Comerang, from Poverty Bay, brought from lis Gd to 19s; ex Keera, from Wanganui 12s to 19s each. Provincial half-breds 18s to 24s Gd. Store Sheep—Merinos, ex Star of the South, from Napier, brought 9s Gd each. Pigs—Stores fetched 14s Gd to 21s Gd each.
