Arnjld, made her anchorage in the roadstead at 1 p.m. on Saturday last, with a large general cargo from Sydney. The following report of her voyage from Napier to Sydney and back has been courteously furnished to us by Capt. Arnold: — The brig Maggie left Napier on the 15th June, crossiug the bar at noon ; made all sail to advantage ; experienced fresh S.W. winds, and rounded the East Cape on the 19th. On the 20th a heavy S.E. gale set in, and continued until rounding the North Cape on the 22nd. From thence had light winds and fine weather until arrival at Sydney on Bth July. Commenced discharging cargo on the 9th, and on the 22nd went into dock to get the vessel thoroughly overhauled. After taking in a large general cargo for this port left Sydney on the Jlth August. On the 12th, in lat. 34 degrees 3 minutes south, and long. 152 degrees 21 minutes east, spoke the schooner Ann, of Hobart Town, from Lady Elliot's Island, with a cargo of guano, bound to Hobart Town, 21 days out, short of provisions, and trying to get into Sydney. Captain Arnold supplied the schponer with as many provisions as could be spared, and proceeded on the voyage. On the 18th and 19th inst. experienced a very heavy southerly gale with high seas, vessel labouring heavily and shipping krge quantities pf water on deck ; carried away the main boom. On the 21st made Cape Farewell, and passed through Cook's Straits on the 23rd ; spoket he brig Princess Alice, from Newcastle bound to Lyttelton, 12 days out. Experienced light northerly winds and fine weather up the coast. Passed Cape Kidnappers at 9 a.m. on Saturday,'and dropped anchor in the roadstead at 1 p.m. The Maggie will be brought into the Iron Pot as soon as she is sufficiently lightened.
