TAURANGA.

The following is from the letter of the correspondent of the New Zealand Herald : July 20. In my brief communication of yesterday I referred to the disposition of the forces in the Bay of Plenty. I find that I was correct with one exception ; instead of Maketu, Tauranga will be head-quarters. Reliable information has just been given to me that ETakaraia has been sent for by Te Ivooti with a view of combining their forces" to attack Taurat.ga. The same informant assures me that an attack is imminent. Colonel Harrington left last evening for the front (so called), viz., the Rangitaiki; and doubtless we shall have the constabulary here immediately.
