It is intended that this troop of cavalry shall be made thoroughly efficient* The "Napier Rifle "Volunteers, w© hear, are about to memorialise His Excellency the Governor to reinstate Captain Buchanan, whose commission as captain of the above corps Sir George Bo wen has recently "been pleased to cancel."
Mimtaby.— The Southern Cross, 29th April, says that "the relief of the 18th Regiment is now stated to be likely ta prove to be the 86th Regiment, at present stationed at Mauritius."
