Fatal Accident at the Wreck. —We regret to have to announce the death by drowning yesterday of one of the persons assisting at the wreck of the Ida Zeigler. From the fe , ' r details that have reached us, it seems that the deceased, Mr Joseph Robinson, late in the employ of Messrs. Kinross and Co., had ventured into the surf to save a bale of wool, when he was overpowered by the drawback of the waves, and carried out into deep water. We have not heard that the body has been recovered. Sad Accident.-—A very painful feeling has been caused by an accident which occurred on the evening of Friday last, by which S. G. Brannon, Esq., Manager of the Napier Branch of the Bank of Hew Zealand, sustained \ery serious injuries. The unfortunate gentleman was driving his children to the Spit in his own buggy, and on turning the -bend opposite Coote road, the horse took fright (we are informed at the yells of a Maori,) and bolted, when the wheel of the vehicle coining in contact with a stone, it upset, and the whole of the occupants were thrown violently out. The children escaped with a few scratches, but Mr Brandon fell on his right side, breaking his arm above the elbow, and sustaining a severe blow on the temple, which produced concussion of the brain, besides other injuries. He was removed to his own house, "where he has since remained in a state of unconsciousness. Last night "we learnt that some improvement had taken place, but Mr Brandon's state was still very critical, from the loss of bloo4 and shock to tlie nervous system,
