Mr Axfreo Auckland's Live Stock Report for the week ending Ist January; —

At last auction held fodder was scarcely saleable. Vehicles sold freely, and soveral dog-carts and buggies were quitted at full rates. Showy riding horses met with a fair inquiry, but other descriptions of horse stock were at lower value, and the greater number of the imported horses were withdrawn. The sale of Mr Graham's stock was very numerously attended. The condition of the stock was indifferent, but they were otherwise of good quality, competition was good throughout the sale, and the prices realized were satisfactory. As to the usual weekly Eemuera sale (held on Wednesday) there was a very limited supply of store cattle and a thin attendance. A fair market of fat cattle—s 7 head—met with an irregular sale; but the tendency was to lower prices on some animals, fully 20s per head under last week's market. Store sheep were in full supply, about 800 penned. Merino wethers brought.from 10s to lis 9d each, and all were quitted. Fat sheep were in average supply, and without alteration in price. Lambs were in usual number, but smaller-sized than of late; they sold freely, and advanced prices were obtained for them. A full market of fat pigs were competed for, but prices were lower fully a half-penny per lb. Messrs Wm. Hunter & Co.'s Live Stock Report for the week ending Ist January :
