Continental Dan uirsai. —Continental dandies now eclipse the women m ai! the follies and extravagances of dress. They i plait their hair, paint, wear corsets, and i sleep in perfumed night gowns. Suicide. —About two o’clock on thej morning nf the 2'Jth October a man named Edward Dice, residing in Lichfield-street, Christchurch, was discovered to have committed suicide. He was found by his wife in an outhouse, where he had hung himself by means of his shirt. The body was cut down by the police, and Dr. Patrick having made examination, pronounced life extinct.
