Sal.mox ix Tasxaxia, —lnformation has been received in town (says the Hobart Town Mercury, of the 3rd August), to the effect that salmon have been seen in the Ouse River. The information is of tbs most reliable kind, and reports two fish as having been seen spawning. Mr Morton Allport and other gentleman have proceeded to the locality, with the determination of capturing one of the fish if possible, so as to settle all the doubts as to the success of the experiment.
