Armed CoxsxAßCLAitx Force. — Wc understand that about a dozen men of the above force proceeded to Petane yesterday. Steamer Dicor the Sorxn. — The s.s. Wellington may bo expected here from Southern Ports on Saturday nest, and will steam for Auckland with immediate despatch. Xapier Tviele ToltjNteers.— lt will be seen by advertisement that the above company will parade, in future on the third Tuesday in each month, instead of the second Saturday, as hitherto. The nest parade will, therefore, take place on Tuesday nest, at half-past sis o’clock p.m. Wairoa.—We have some further scraps of news from Wairoa. The es-prisoners are busy planting potatoes—preparing, no doubt, for a campaign. The bodies of Capt. Carr, and Mr Canning had been found unburied. Some friendly natives had expressed their intention of going up and interring them. The Wairoa natives who lately joined tne rebels had had an interview with some friendlies ; they said that, at the engagement at liuaki Tore, if our forces had kept up the attack much longer, the enemy would have surrendered, as they were out of provisions and ammunition.
