Mr. Ai.i'red BucklaatTs report for the week online 22 nd May : At the Haymarkct on Saturday last, fodder offered plentifully, and the prices of the previous week wyro harely sustained. At Waiukti, on Wednesday, there was o numerous attendance, and a large muster of stock, both ■attic and sheep, met with a free sale, at prices i'uiiv cipiai to those ruling at the sales near Auckland.
At Uemurra, on Thursday, a largo muster of store rattle were freely competed for. About IC.) head of steer', from two to throe years, la fresh condition, realised an average of £7 each. Cows and heifers, from £5 7s 6d to £7 2s 6d each. Fat cat lie wore in average supply: 69 head sold. Trices ware higher for best quality than have lately ruled, best animals bringing about 38s the lOOlbs. Store sheep of good quality were inquired for. Longwoolod wethers brought 15s each. Lambs in low condition, at 6s to 7s each. Fat sheep were in full supply; they met with a free inquiry at la.-,! week’s prices. The wethers from Waugarei brought from 21s 6d to 25s Cd each. A full market of grown pigs met with a steady demand, at rather higher rates than have lately ruled. clr.ssKs Wm. Hunter. & Co.’s report for the week ending iM-jh April:— On •Saturday last, there wan a fair supply of horses, but, with one or two exceptions, of very inferior quality. Hacks ruled from £3 17b 6d to £8 2s 6d : draught stock from £7 to £l4. A lot of superior colls from tVaihcko sold at very salisfaeAt Newmarket, on Monday, there was a large tory rates, realising from £2 15s to 21 10s. Clover mad grass seed unsaleable. quantity of cattle penned. Dairy cows’were scarce and inferior, selling from £6 to £lO. Half-bred wethers realized from ins to 2"' 6d; merinos from 6s to 13s. Pigs were scarce, and all in were sold at very satisfactory prim s. At (dalralm there was a limited supply of stock, realising but indifferent prices. Tim ivi>-ft of the quarterly salo at Waiuku is postponed until next week.
