The s.s. Star of the South, Capt. Bendall, left Auckatid at 8 a.m. on the 28th March, and had a very rough weather passage down, having been obliged to anchor under Great Mercury Island for three days. She arrived here at IFSOp.m. on Wednesday last. After discharging cargo, and taking in wool, sheep, 4c., steamed for Wellington and Nelson at 4 a.m. yesterday. , The s,s. Ahuriri, Capt. Flowerday, left Wellington on Thursday afternoon last; had light winds and flue weather up the Coast, and arrived in port at 4 p.ra. on Friday, bringing the Napier portion of the Suez mail. The Ahuriri steamed for Southern Forts at 4 p.m. on Saturday last. The schooner Swallow, with a cargo of sawn timber from Mercury Bay, arrived in port on Saturday last. The brig Maggie sailed for Newcastle on Saturday last; and the cutter Grayling, for Wairoa, took her departure yesterday morning. The s.s. Lord Ashley is duo from Auckland on Saturday next, and will steam for Southern Forts on Sunday, 12th inst. The s.s. Wellington is due from Auckland on Sunday next, 12th inst., and will steam for Southern Forts on Monday, I3th last.
