Medicines. administered with the greatest efficacy to young children subject to humors, or obstruction of the glands. Dr Cazenave oi St Louis Hospital, Paris, recommends it particularly in cutaneous diseases con jointly with the pills that boar his name. Diseases of the Chest.— Syrup of Hypopkosphite of Lime, manufactured by Geimault & Co., Chemists. This new medicine, delicious to the palate, is a sovereign remedy' for coughs, colds, irritation of the lungs, and is also an excellent remedy in case® of consumption. Under its influence, the cough abates, nocturnal perspirations cease, and the patient rapidly recovers health and flesh. Indigestion* oe Dyspepsia.— Elixir of Pepsine, prepared by Geimault A, Co., Chemists. Pepsine is the gastric iuice itself, or rather the digestive principle puriGed, which digests food in the stomach. When from various causes the supply oi the digestive fluid is too small, the inevitable consequences are bad digestion, gastritis, gastralgia, inflammation of the mucous coats of the stomach and bowels, heartburn, anaemia, loss of strength, and in females general derangement. The Elixir of Pepsine, which is sanctioned by the approbation of the Paris Academy of Medicine, speedily cures all such diseases, and prevents vomiting during pregnancy. No mose Poteety of the Blood, Ac. —Phosphate of Iron. —De Leras, Apothecary, Doctor of Science.—This new ferruginous medicine contains tho elements of the bones and blood, and iron in a liquid state. From observations made in the Paris Hospitals and detailed in the prospectus, it is superior to ferruginous pills, lactate of iron, iron reduced by hydrogen, pills and syrup of the iodide of iron, and cures rapidly stomach complaints, painful digestion, poverty of the blood, loss of strength and appetite, and the diseases incident to females. It is tho best adjunct to Cod-liver Oil, and the best preserver of health in tropical climates. No moee Copaiba ob Cubees. —Capsules of Maiico Vegetalis ; also Liquid Extract of Maiico. — These elegant preparations effect rapid and extraordinary cures of | recent and old, and severe eases of disease, ’they are used in all the Hospitals of Paris by the celebrated Dr Rioord, and are found greatly superior to all preparations of Copaiba, Cubebs, Ac., and Mineral Remedies. The Liquid Extract is used in recentj eases, and the Capsules in the more chronic;! and where all other Medicines have failed, | j these preparations will always effect aj I cure. Impurities of the Blood.—ln selecting the most appropriate medicine for a particular ailment, there may bo some dilliculty unless one can be found to purify, regulate, and improve the quality of the ■ blood. These pills possess and exert these three qualifications n an extraordinary degree. They enable the stomach to digest any ordinary food, nerease the secretory powers of the liver, cleanse and purify the blood, expel all morbid matter, and throw nto the circulation the purest elements. Weakness and Debility.—How many persons sailor from debility without knowng the causes why they are feeble ! In most cases the stomach is the aggresssor. Obstructions of every kind, either it young persons just entering int« womanhood or approaching the turn of life—the most critical period— may be rac ically removed by a recourse to these pills. Despondency, or Low Spirits. —The misery occasioned by a disordered digestion is, unfortunately, felt bv most. These famous pills should be taken in appropriate doses to adjust the disturbed functions. They dispel headache, biliousness, nausea, lowness of spirits, and all similar ailments.
