Hawke's Bay Times.
THURSDAY, JANUARY 9, 1868. TELE CLOSE OF THE WOOL SEASON.
“ X-idlius adJictiu jvrare in verba magisfri.
Our splendid bay will shortly miss the two noble vessels which have for some ! time graced the anchorage with their presence. The barque John Bunyan having taken in her cargo, will bid our port adieu about the 21st inst. ; and she will be quickly followed by the Echunga, whose freight has nearly all come to port. The heavy arrivals of wool from the country day after day during the past few weeks has given quite an aspect of life and business to the port, which is not usual except at this season 5 and of course much of it will end with its close, thongh we do hope that the dulness of a short time since will not return.
