Baki>of Hope Treat.—The usual annual Band of Hope festival will take place this day, in Mr Parker’s paddocks at kVaitangi. Previously to starting, the children will congregate in the Presbyterian schoolhouse at mne a.in. Excursion Tkip to Pania Eoce and Kidnapper.—" Wind and weather permitting, and should sufficient inducement offer, the ps. ‘Cleopatra’ will steam from the Government Wharf at 10 o’clock this morning on the above trip, returning to port this evening at 6 o’clock. Should the weather prove fine, we believe the passengers will be landed near Cape Kidnapper. A brass band will accompany the excursionists.
