THURSDAY, MAY 2, 1867. THE PANAMA MAIL.
“ Xuilius addle! us Jurare in verba magislri."
The arriviil yesterday of the s.s. Wellington, from Auckland, placed vs in
possession of cur files to tbs 291 h ult, from which we learn that the Kaiknnra had arrived at Wellington from Panama on the 25th ult., with the March mail, the Auckland portion of which had been received via the West Coast and Manukauon the 28th. We present our readers this morning with the more important items of news by this mail, withholding our usual euitorial remarks and other matters for this purpose. To-day the Lord Ashley is due from Southern Ports, and she will doubtless be the bearer of the mail for Hawke’s Bay—once more too late for replying to English correspondence.
