OTAGO. DRIVER, MACLEAN AND CO.’S MONTHLY REPORT OF LIVE STOCK, STATIONS, WOOL, ETC. March 20, 1667. TVe have no important changes to note in prices during the past month. Transactions in sheep of every description have been large, holders of partially stocked country buying freely, at about the rates quoted below. A veiy large number of sheep have passed through our hands this season, say close upon 100,000, and there yet remain about two months prior to most of our runholders sorting their flocks for the year, during which time we anticipate a proportionate amount of business being done. Good store cattle are petting very scarce, which we arc inclined to think must increase in value withiq the next few mouths. Our sales have averaged prices quoted below: — Tat Stock. —The market has heen well supplied with both sheep and cattle of very I.nr quality, and wo do not expect any advance ou present prices until winter sets in. Wo quote beet at about 425. 6d. per 100 lbs, and piulton at -id. to 4ld. per lb. Store stock.—As stated above, there is a demand for well-bred Sheep and Oatt'e in g -o.; . nr. I:; ,-,,, fit,, say Lambs, watl-growu, equal :.e;.cs. 225. per pair. Maiden Ewes, 16s, to los.; -1 and 'i-tooth Ewes, at los. 6d. to 175.; full mouthed Ewes, lU. To 12s. 6d. ; Wethers, ■i tootti aud full-mouthed,, 12s. to 12s. fid. Cattle, imported, about £9 10s.: Provincial bred ditto, £M to £ll. Bsirv Cows continue in wood reouest at £ls to £2l. Country Sales.—Our monthly sales, at Lovell’s Flat, Ciutha Ferry, and Kaitymata, were well attended, and a large quantity of stock changed hands at prices quoted.
