Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Hampden, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ bearing date the seventh day of February, 1867, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor and the seal of the Colony of! N«w Zealand, an election will be held for tke return of one qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Council ol the Province of Hawke’s Ray for the said Electoral District ; and that the nomination of candidates will take place at Mr. •Matthews’ Store, Hampden, on TUESDAY, 26th MARCH, end that the poll (if necessary) wid be taken on WEDNESDAY, the 27th MARCH, and that I will declare the result of the poll at close thereof.
