Henry Hunter, Returning Officer for theElectoralDistrict of Poranga-j hau, gire notice that, by virtue of a writ bearing date the 7th February 1867, issued under the baud of his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Council for the said Electoral District; and that the nomination of candidates will take place at Messrs Hunter’s Woolshed, Pbranguhau, at noon on Wednesday, the 20th March, and that the poll (if necessary) will he taken on Thursday, the 21st day of March, and that I will declare the result of the poll at five o'clock in the afternoon of the same day.
