JgJ LECTION NOTICE. lx pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “The Regulation of Elections’ Act, 1858,” I, John Russell Duncan, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Waipukurau, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ bearing date the 7th day of February, 1867, issued under the hand ot His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an Election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as member of the Provincial Council for the said Electoral District; and that the nomination of candidates will take place at Mr Purvis Russell's Woolshed, Waipukurau, on Wednesday, 27th March, and that the poll (if necessary) will be taken on Thursday, the 28th, and that I will declare the result of the pell at half-past 5 in the afternoon of the same day.
