FEBRUARY. 6—Kauri, schooner, 30 tons, Shearer, from Auckland Ha Tairua, with 21,000 feet timber. 6—Lady Bird, s.s., 220 tons, Holmes, from Wellington, with 25 casus, J. Stuart; 8 mats and 130 gunnies sugar, 18 t-cliest? tea, Eoutledgo and Co.; 13 hhtls., Watt, Brothers; 1 case, i parcel, J. W. Cowing; 1 trunk, Beukers ; 1 parcel, Jos. P.liodcs. Passenger,— James Gough.— Kinross and Co., agents. o The schooner Kauri, Capt. Shearer, from Auckland via Tairua with a cargo of sawn timber, arrived here late on Monday night last, after a passage of 15 days from the former port, and 8 from Tairua. Reports having sighted schooner Henry a few miles to the northward of the East Cape, bound north. The Kauri, we understand, will proceed up to the head of the Bay upon discharge of inward cargo, to take in a cargo of whale oil, Ac., fur Auckland. The New Zi a'and Steam Navigation Company’s s.s. Lady Bird, Captain Holmes, arrived in the roadstead at 1 p.m. yesterday, with a general cargo and 1 passengers. The Lady Bird will be brought inside this morning ; and on Friday morning at 8 o’clock she will steam for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Otago. The Pauza Company’s s.s. Phoebe, Captain E. Wheeler, is due here on Wednesday next, and will leave for Southern Provinces with the English Mail via Suez at 4 p.m. same day. The s.s. Star of the South, Capt. Bendall, left for Auckland on Wednesday morning, with a cargo of sheep and cattle.
