AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET. Messes Hunter a Co.’s Report for week ending 7th December. We have to report that at our Yards, on Monday, fat cattle were In moderate supply prices, were low—from 355, to 40a the 100 lbs; not any prime qualities offered. Dairy cows were in large supply and sold well; prices we consider are high,for this class of stock; ordinary cows brought from 1214 to £lßlos each. Store stock were in fair supply, young cattle are still selling high, though not at the extreme rates they were about two months ago. Otahnhu Sale.—There was but a small supplly of store stock at this market; the few that were to hand realised good prices; we sold part of cargo of sheep, ex Beautiful Star, from Napier, store merino wethers 17s 6d and 18s each, Papakura Monthly Sale. —There was a good show of store cattle and dairy cows at this market; prices ruled high, fUUy better than either at Newmarket or at Otahubu. Horse Market.—We had a good market of horses, and all to band were sold at fair prices. Maize. 6s 3d to 5s 6d. Bran, Is 4d. Mb Buck land’s Report for the week ending 7th December. At the Haymarket, on Saturday last, for the greater part of the property in Mr Hardington’s estate there was no bidding above the amount of the various mortgages, and the properties were iu consequence withdrawn. Allotments at Kaganga Township, brought 2s 6d each, and at Wynyardton 4s each. Shares in Coromandel Gold Mining Comdany, 20a the share. Fodder was dull of sale, maize brought 5s 3d the bushel, bran Is the bushel. The horse stock market was fairly supplied, but prices were low and purchasers confined to actual requirments; draught horses being remarkably dull of sale. The cattle market has remained without alteration although the copious rains will probably occasion better demand for store stock. Dairy cows and quiet heifers sell at relatively high rates. Cattle for fattening purposes only are with difficulty quitted at satisfactory prices. The sheep ex Beautiful Star were of large frame with a considerable dash of Lecester, they brought in their wool 22s 6d to 23s 6d each. The fat stock market has been fairly supplied with animals of good quality and the prices are iihout alteration. Fat lambs sell higher than a short time since and fat sheep obtained aa advance of 2s per head over last week’s market. WOOL SALE. The wool sale held yesterday, by Mr Alfred Buokland at the Haymarket, was very numerously attended. The condition in which tho bulk of the wool was brought to the market was considerably In advance of previous years, and the prices ruled from Id to lid the lb above that obtained last year. Tho greater part of the washed wools brought from lOd to Is; merino being about lsd the Iff less than longwools; small parcels locks and peices sold more freely than usual. Above 700 bales and about 100 bags were pitched and sold to the highest bidder.
