The following paragraph from the Daily Southern Cross, z9th November, may be of service to some of our readers: —An inquest' yesterday leaves very little doubt respecting the fata of a person named John M; Harrison, who accompanied deceased James Blakeley in a small boat, for the purpose of proceeding to Taupo. Harrison had b-.cn living for some five or six weeks with Mr William Harris, farmer, Waihebi, and had employed James Blakely to work for him. He ; was respectably connected, and is believed to havedbrmerly resided at Woodthorpo, Tutaeburi, Napier, a letter bearing that address having been found in his apartment at Mr Harris’s House. The letter bears the Napier postmark of October 2, and the. initials “ IX W. H.” at the left corner, Haprison had on, when he left Waihebi, a blue serge coat, dark Teat, and Bedford cord trousers, ana was apparently about 40 years of age, with light beard and moustachd. The fact that the small tout in which both men were last seen alive has Le-m found case ashore with stern and side store in points to the conclusion' that Harrison hsd wet a similar fate to that pf his companion.
