INLAND MAIL CONTRACTS. TENDERS will be received at the Chief Post Office, Napier, till noon of the 31st day of October next, for the conveyance of Mails between the undermentioned places, from the Ist day of January, 1867, to the 31st day of December, 1867, both days inclusive For'terms and conditions apply at any Post Office within the Province. MEANEE CHURCH. AN OPENING SERVICE will be held in this place of worship on Sabbath, the 30th inst., at 2 o’clock, the Rev. Alex. Shepherd, of Waipukurau, to officiate. There will be a collection at the dose on account of the Building fund. No Puketapu service on that day. A TEA MEETING will be held in the same place on the EVENING of WEDNESDAY, the 24th October, when several ministers and gentlemen will take part in the proceedings. Tea on table at 6 p.ra. Tickets, 3s each, may be had of Mr E. Sutton, at the ‘ Herald ’ office, or at the store of Messrs Peacock, Meanee. The proceeds to go to the Building Fund. 10th September, 1866.
