ARRIVAL OF THE METEOR. The schooner Meteor, Queen, master, left Auckland on n-idav, 7th inst., and arrived at Cabbage Bay on the oth. Took in 10.000 feet Umber; and left for Napier on the 12th, At 7 a.m. on the 14th, bore away for Cape Runaway, in consequence of strong N.E. At 4 a.m. on the 16th left Cape Runaway; rounded the East Cape at 5 o’clock same night, and brought up in the roadstead at 0-30 p.m. on Wednesday last. She entered the Iron Pot on Thursday. ARRIVAL OF THE BALMORAL. The brigantine Balmoral loft Napier on the 4th August, and had a frightfully rough voyage to Hobart T.own, at which port she arrived on the 4th September. Remained theie till the oth, on which day she left for Napier, aud arrived on the evening of Saturday, 22nd September, after a fair run of thirteen days. ARRIVAL OF THE BITTERN. The cutter Bittern, Goldsworthy, master, left Auckland on the Bth inst., and arrived at Mercury Bay on the 10th; left on the 19th; and was off Cape Runaway on the 20th; rounded the East Capo at 12 on Thursday, and arrived ou the night of Friday, the 21st. Sighted Tawora off East Cape, and. Kauri off Table Cape, both bound north. ARRIVAL OE THE AGNES, The cutter Agnes, Trimmer, master, arrived In the roadstead on Priday night last, with a cargo of firewood from the Great Barrier, she left Auckland on the Ist; and arrived at the Barrier on the 2nd; loaded firewood; and left for Opttiki on tho 7th. Arrived at Opotiki ou tho 9th Discharged cargo, and left for the Barrier on tho 12th; arrived there on the loth, alter a good run of 24 hours. Loaded 55 tons of firewood, and (after being wind-bound for 5 days) left for Napier ou tho Ibth; aud arrived here ns above. ARRIVAL OF THE STAR OF THE SOUTH. The s.s. Star of the South, Capt. Beudatl, left Auckland on the 21st inst., at 4 a.m. Experienced strong W.S.AV. winds and squally weather to the East Cape, which was rounded at 5 a.m. ou the 22ud. Hence to Gable End foreland had light baffling winds, which suddenly changed to S.S.W., blowing bard. Gale increasing, with thick weather aud lain, core away for Wangawehi, where she anchored at C p.m. Left again at 6 a.m. on the 23rd (yesterday.) Had strong southerly winds and heavy sea, and arrived June at 4 p.m. yesterday. The schooner Meteor sailed for Auckland on Saturday The schooners Joanna and Queen, and cutter Eagle, left for Auckland ou Thursday last, tbe two former with cattle. The schooner Saucy Lass sailed for Poverty Bay and Auckland on Thursday last, with cattle for the former ship Pegasus, Captain Cornwall, arrived at the heads last evening, from Loildoa, 105 days out, with a general cargo, aud 50 passengers, after a moderate passage from London. This is the second voyage the Pegasus has made to Auckland, and the third time that her able commander, Can 1 tin Cornwall, has been here, ho haying been in command of the Royal Stuart, which was here in January, 1564— Daily Southern Cross, 20th September. We observe that no fewer than 44 vessels of all sizes and descriptions left Auckland harbor in one day! Among the number we notice the cutter Betsy, for Napier and Opotiki via Great Barrier, fit which latter place she was going to take in a car go of firewood.
