•The LlQtron Thaeeic. —Wo would remind the public of tbo Lecture to be delivered in tlie schoolroom, Tennyson-strect, this evening on the above subject, by Mr T. B. Harding. Lecture to commence at 8 pan. Admission free. Postponement of Sate. —We would direct attention to the fact that Mr Yautier Janisch’s important sale of valuable books, &c., advertised to take place on Eriday 14th September, has been postponed to Sattjeday, 22ud September, on which day it will take place at the Mart Eastern Spit at noon sharp. The Weatheb has been anything but agreeable lately,—a cold, piercing southerly wind, accompanied ever and anon with smart showers of rain -having been experienced. The rain, however, was acceptable, and will do much good. Yesterday, it was warmer, the wind having gone round to the H.E.; the sky, however, was still overcast with heavy clouds, plainly indicating that the wet weather is not all over yet.
