WAIROA.

[PEOIf A COBBESPOXDENT.] 17th August. The ‘Lady Bird,’ Baxter, arrived off the mouth of the river yesterday, but could not enter. I think she will get in to-night. The p.s. ‘ Sturt,’ on her arrival here, seat a boat ashore, which was swamped when within a few yards of the beach. The remaining passengers were put oa board the ‘ Lady Bird,’ and have since been lauded. Business here is very dull.
