The N.Z.S.N. Co.’s s.s. Wellington, Captain P. Benner, arrived in the rcadstead at 1 p.tn, on Saturday, 18tli inst. She left Port Chalmers at 5*30 p.m. on Monday, 13th inst.; thick heavy weather. Arrived at Lyttelton at II am. on the l-ltli; left again at 12 - 30 p.m. on the 16th ; left for Napier at 630 p.m. on the 17th, and brought up in . tho roads as above—after a fair run of nineteen and a-hnlf hours. Tho Wellington steamed for Tauranga and Auckland yesterday afternoon. The chief William Thomson was a passenger by the Wellington, en route for Auckland. The Tauranga pilot also proceeded to his station by this opportunity. AEEIYAL OP THE MAGGIE. Tho brig Maggie, Captain Lo Couteur, left Napier for Newcastle on tho 2nd July,—a strong galo from the south-west blowing at tho time. Rounded the East Cape on the 6th. Off the North Cape, encountered a strong gale, which compelled the captain to close-reef the topsails, under which the ran before tho gale. On the 14th sighted tho land near Newcastle, and on the 17th entered tho harbor, —after a smart run of twelve days. Remained at Newcastle nine days, when she left for Napier on the 26th July, with light westerly airs. Experienced strong galo from the south-east on tho 28th ; the vessel had to be hove-to in consequence. Bore away for the North Capa on the 29tb, and made the land on tho 11th August. Prom the North Cape to Portland Island, experienced strong N.W. winds. Sighted the Island (Portland) on the 13th. Was becalmed for four days; and brought up in tho roadstead at 3 p.m. on Saturday, XBth August. AEEIYAL OP THE NAUTILUS. The cutter Nautilus, Bushell, master, left Mercury Bay oa tho 13th inst., at 1 p.m.; rounded the East Capo oa the 14th at noon ; passed Portland Island on the 17th, and brought up in the roadstead at T3O p.m. on tho 18th, —after a fine weather passage of live days. Captain Bushel reports having sighted the following vessels:—On tho 16th, off Gable End Foreland, tho schooners Kauri and Joanna j on tho 17th, the cutters Lady Wynyard, Agnes, and Eagle, off Poverty Bay ; and the same night, off Portland Island, the schooner Saucy Lass. Cargo: 22,471 feet timber, LeQuesne; $ ton sugar, Neal and Close. AEEIYAL OP THE HERCULES. Tho cutter Hercules, Watts, master, left Omaha on the 13th inst.; rounded the East Cape on tho 16th; passed Portland Island on the 18th, and arrived in the Iron Pot yesterday morning, after a fine weather passage. Cargo: 1000 posts, 300 rails.
