“ Times 1 ’ Office, Saturday Evening, 9th June. Btrsixrss continues pretty brisk; in fact, much brisker than is usual at this season of the year. This is owing to the scarcity of rain, and the consequent dryness of the roads enabling drays from the country to come in. To-day and yes* terday there was an unusual number on the Spit, and ail went up heavily laden. Although recent arrivals have eased the market slightly, there is a scarcity of many' articles of 'consumption. The brig ‘Maggie,’ shortly due from Sydney, may bo expected to bring a large cargo of general merchandise, in addition to a quantity of coals.
