Tires Office. Monday morning. Notwithstanding the Christmas and New Tear’s Day holidays, a considerable amount of business has been transacted during the past fortnight. Great quantities of wool have come in during the period—especially the last week; and the two ships Sunbeam and Strutha lan, are rapidiy ailing up. The latter has not yet got rid of all her inward cargo, but a few days will no doubt suffice for her discharge. Auction Sales have not been very numerous. Mr V Janisch held one on Wednesday, the 3rd iust, which was well attended aud bidding brisk. The sale was of lauded property, household furniture, &c, lately in the occupation of Mr A. C. iiaymes The property had au unexpired lease of 13 years, at a ground rout of 30 per annum, and realised £iu. A lot of jewellery, furniture, to, was also disposed of at satisfactory rates.
