Beautiful Star, from Wanganui Lady Bird, schooner, from Wairoa Mahia, cutter, from the East Coast Strathallan, ship, from Loudon Sunbeam, barque, from London (loading wool) Zillah, brigautine,' from Auckland MARITIME NOTES. ABRITAL OP THE BBIGANTINE ZIXLAH. The brigantiue ZiPah, Captain J. Sullivan, left Auckland on the 12th December, at midnight, with light N.E. wind. Arrived at Waugapoa on the 14th,—entering the harbor at 9 a.m.; took in 3'»,O!"!0 leet timber, and was ready for sea on the 22nd. but, owing to the prevalence of adverse winds, which at times were very strong, was detained there until the 23th ; at 3 p.m. on that day got under weigh, and in going out of the harbor, stuck on the bar, but was got off again ill a very short time—the wind at the time being light, from the S.E. At six o'clock p.m. wind veered round to S."W., blowing very hard, and which continued till she rounded the East Cape, which she did at 9 a.m. on the 30th; from thence to port had variable breezes: brought up in the roadstead on the afternoon of Monday, Ist January—entering the inuer harbor at 6 p.m. Cargo : 30,000 feet timber. ' Capt. Sullivan reports having spoken the Bose Ann, schooner, from Auckland to Canterbury, off Tokomaura Bay; also the ketch Sea Shell, from Canterbury, bound to Auckland. The s.s. Eeautiful Star was to have left for Auckland last evening, hut she took the ground in leaving the Iron Pot. She got off again, however, just as we were going to press morning.
