AUCKLAND. Mu Buoklakd’s report for the week ending November 10. . At the Haymarket, on Saturday last, there Were a number of loads of inferior hay, which sold at low rates ; but hay of good quality brought fully £(y per ton, with a steady sale. For maize there was very little inquiry, and sales were less than for some weeks; prices obtained from 4s. 6d. to sa. the bushel. Two very powerful draught horses brought respectively £54; but for ordinary horse stock there was no improvement in price. At the Triangle, on Tuesday, there was a large muster of stock, principally two-year-olds. Bidding was dull, aud several pens were withdrawn. Prices receded from previous week from 10s. to 20s.per head. At Newmarket, on Wednesday, the supply of cattle was limited. There was a good attendance of buyers, and all offered was quittted. Fat cattle railed fully 20s. per head from last week's rates. Few veal calves were offered for sale. Lambs were plentiful, but maintained their last week’s prices, bringing from IBs. to 265. each. There was a fair supply of sheep, and all were quitted at full rates. A few choice pigs brough high prices. Messes Hunter and Co.’s report for the week ending November 10. We had a full market on Monday, at Newmarket, of some very prime qualities of provincial fattened cattle from VVangarei, they were the best that have been in the market for some time ; all to hand were sold ; prices are still lower than they have been, best qualities brought from 455. to 50s. the lOOOfiss. Dairy Cows.—We had a fair show of dairy stock of better quality all to hand were sold. The market was indifferently supplied with store cattle, and these were in low condition; all to hand ware sold; the demand continues good for this class of stock. Veal calves were in fair supply, and those of good quality brought satisfactory prices. Sheep Market.—Wo had a full market of sheep, both of stores and fat; a lot from Napier brought 21s each ; fat, medium qualities shorn, 23s each; best qualities shorn, 28 to 30s each. Lambs, 17s to 23s each. Horse Market.—We had a fair show of horses on Saturday, mostly of inferior descriptions, A considerable number changed hands, but at low rates ; prices do not appear fo be advancing; we sold a team of draught horses at £7O, Otahuhu Sale.—We had a large show of store cattle at this market, and of a good description: all were sold: prices good—about the same as they have been for the last few weeks. The following prices have ruled during the week Fat cattle, 45s to 60s the lOOlbs.; store stock, £3 10s to £7 10s ; dairy cows, £l2 to £l3 for first class : cows, inferior do., £6 to £9; sheep, stores, 22s to 24s ; fat shorn, quality, 30s to 35s ; medium ditto, shorn, 23s to 28s. Horses, hacks and light harness horses, £9 to £ls; draught horses, good, £4O to £SO : medium do., £2O to £3O; inferior hacks nominal.
