Gset Coal Fields.—We are sincerely glad to be able to state that the gen tleman who visited our coal-fields a few weeks ago, on behalf of a body of capitalists in Victoria, has, after reporting to his principals what he saw of them, and stating the conditions on which our Government is willing to grant a lease of the mine, returned from Melbourne with authority to enter into engagements with our Government, and to make arrangements for the immediate prosecution of such works as are necessary to work the coal at the Grey in an economical maimer. The company which Mr Lucas represents have a capital of £140,000, and they are prepared to undertake the working and shipping of the coal in an earnest manner.—Nelson Examiner, Oct. 31.
