AUCKLAND. Mb Eccklan'd’s report for the week ending September 8. At tbe Haymarket, on Saturday last, meadow hay brought about £6 the ton ; maize, 5s Id to 5s 9d. the bushel, 1850 sacks sold ; bone dust, £7 5s the ton ; chail-cutters, 70s to 90s each ; iron barrows, 40s the pair. Horse stock was very unsaleable ; best draught bringing but little over £3O, and medium draught from £ls each; good hacks from £8 upwards. ' At the Triangle, on Tuesday, there was a larger than usual muster of cattle, and a numerous attendance. Brices were good throughout. Three-year-old steers bringing from £lolos to £lllos ; cows, from £7 to £8 10s, with a few inquiries. Eat merinos, 27s each; store merinos, 20s each. At Newmarket, on Thursday, the supply of store cattle was limited; prices without alteration. Hairy cows were in fair supply,, and brought re--1 t;vely to late markets low prices, from £9 to £l3 lOa each. There was a very short supply of fat cattle from the neighbornood. Those brought forward sold at an extreme rate, about-60s the lOOibs. A full market of Australian cattle ex Bengal, met with a ready market, averaging £l3 each—lll sold. A mixed flock of ewes, with lambs at side, brought 34s each; and two-tooth merino ewes in lamb to Leicester rams, 28s each. Eat sheep pens fairly filled,. best quality longwoolled hoggets bringing 56s each ; merino wethers, 28s to 33s ; second quality, from 24s each; fat lambs, from 18s to 23s each. Veal calves are in great inquiry, and bring high prices. The pig market was .fairly filled, but generally of an inferior description; for those of good quality there was a ready sale at high rates.

Messes Husike and Co.’s report for the week ending September 8. We hare still lo report the same scarcity in the fat cuttle, and the consequent high prices lately ruling, viz., 50s to 55s the lOOlbs for prime qualities. Store stock, unless in forward condition, are lower, and the market was fairly supplied. For dairy stock the inquiry was limited especially for second-rate cows ; several of this class were disposed of from £lO »o £l2. The sheep market was well supplied with fat sheep j all to hand were sold at good prices. ■■ JK o stores were oSered. At the hor=e market last {Saturday there was a decided improvement. Good harness horses sold freely at lair prices. Ltrauglit horses same as last quotations. Fapaxdka Sale.—We had a good market of store cattle and dairy cows, which were mostly disposed of at remunerative prices. Quotations for the week: —Best quality fat cattle, 50s the lOOlbs; young stock, £5 to £7; dairy cows, £l2 to £ls. Sheeps slopes, IBs to 20s each ; fat sheep, medium qualities, 25s to 30s j best qualities, 35s to 40s. Morse market; Heavy draught horses, £35 to 50; medium do, £25 to £3O l hacks, good, from £25 to £3O; light harness horses, fro® £l2 to £25; inferior backs, nominal.

WELLINGTON. Thb Advertiser, of the 15th inst., thus reports : No alteration in the price of breudstulis since our last report. The prices quoted at Messrs Kebbell’s are—for Adelaide, £2i per ton j Colonial, £3l per ton; Sharps, £8 per ton; Bran, Is fid per bushel. SYDNEY. Tbs Herald, August 26, reports as follows Business continues dull, and since our monthly summary was published there is scarcely any alteration of importance to notice in our markets. The flour market remains steady, and if it were not tor the supplies, which have recently arrived,, and which are expected, from Chili, prices must have ruled higher, stocks being still small. Chilian flour is quoted at £lB 10a to £l9 10s per ton j : Adelaide, £2l to £22 per ton. Wheat is not so ’firm—Chilian, 8s 3d to 8s 6d per bushel j Adelaide, 9s 6d per bushel In liquids the principal feature has been some very large speculative purchases of rum 1 , at slightly reduced rates. — Sugars are firm. At auction' to-day the cargo of Mauritius sugars, ex Gordon, were sold at the following prices-Fine counters, £3B to £39 os; yellow ditto, £36 to £36 Iss ; bright rations, £3O to £33 10a ; low ditto, £27,10s to £29. . Teas continue firm. Fine congous, ex Fanny Nicholson, were sold at auction to-day at 2s 2d per lb.
