OUR LIBRARY TABLE.

t(OOD Woeds July, 1865 ; Sunday Magazine —July, 1865. We have received the above two valuable periodicals per last mail, and find that they fully bear out the character they have already acquired. r fhs interesting historical tale, “ ilercvvard, tke last of tlie English,” continued in the former, must bo pronounced a success—the sympathies of the reader being forcibly enlisted in favor of the hero, with his small but faithful band, in their efforts to stay the advance of the conquering Normans, Taere are also well written philosophical papers *' on longevity, light, strikes, and lock-outs; and some theological paoers and good poetry. In the Sunday Magazine we are treated with the contin nation of “Joshua Taylor’s Passion” (a tale of conscience) ; the third part of the theological paper we have before noticed, entitled “ The harmony of the written and unwritten revelations ” ; and several others; plnlosopnical papers, comprising “Our .dirial Covering,” a most interesting description ot the atmosphere, &c. Both the above are freely illustrated, and have several full pago sized plates. \\ e are sorry that a pressure upon our space prevents our giving extracts.
