The 8 a Star of the South, Capt. Hodge, left Wellington on Tuesday, the Ist Inst., at B'3o p.m. Had strong nor-west and westerly winds throughout the passage j dropped anchor In the roadstead at B*3o p.m, yesterday evening making the ran in 24 feNuts. • The ship Sunbeaflh Which, (as our readers will see on referrence to our advertising columns,) will load wool for London from this port this season, sailed for Napier via Auckland $£«’&&&. The ship Btrathallan, we believe, will load wool this season. The barque William Gynther was signaled during the early part of yesterday; but, owing no" doubt to the prevailing head wind, she had not come to her anchorage up to the hour of our going to press this morning. The Lord Ashley, from Auckland, may be expected on Saturday next, and the Eangitira, from the South, on Sunday.
The Zillah, sailed on Tuesday last, for Auckland via the Coast.
