To the Editor of the JTawhe’s Say Time*. Sib,— Can yon inform the electors of Te Ante whether, during the approaching session of the Provincial Council, they will be favored with the services of both their members ? Or will their military representative. Lieutenant Take, be debarred attendance by the superior call for his services at the post of honor, Pnketitiri ? The new major commanding is said to be strict and precise, apt to require services to be performed for pay recived, a condition of things that must be felt as very provoking, and as an illustration of what new brooms will do. This change, however, _is no concern of burs, farther than that we feel it a hardship that our civil claim on Lieutenant Take should be-ranked below the military claim bn him by Major Lambert. Forgetfulness, we hope, is the real reason why the incongruity of these conflicting claims, and the impossibility of reconciling them have been over, looked. Perhaps even yet the compliment may be paid of giving ns the option of saying whether we are content with this posture of affairs, or if a chang'* would be pleasing. We are, Ac., ECHOES FfiOJI TE AUTE.
