The news of the resignation of the Fox Ministry has caused, very naturally, considerable excitement here. But there would seem to be but one opinion upon the subject, and that opinion is that Sir George Grey doesn’t know what he is about, and that, to put the mildest construction upon his proceedings, he must be in a state little short of imbecility. The Colony will in the event of Sir George attempting to carry on the Government without a Ministry, be now able to repudiate ad participation in his proceedings and throw the entire cost and consequences upon the Home Government.
