Browne ; 1 case, Union Bank ; 1 case plants, 2 cases, order ; 1 bos, Chapman; 1 case, Morrison; 1 prcl., Capt. Curling ; 1 case, Janisch ; 1 prcl,. Wood ; 1 bndl., Holder.—Passengers,—Messrs. Begg, Greenwell, Jones, Furness, Mableback, Forth, Mullender.—Maltby & Co., agents. SAILED. Oct. 6— Lord Ashley , s.s., 296 tons, Randall, for Wellington, with original cargo from Auckland. Passengers,—Lieut.-Col. Dwyer, Mrs. Dwyer, Miss Tylee, Rev. P. Barclay, Capt. Furneaux, Lieut. Butler, Messrs. Edwards, Barnes, & Canning, Mrs. Wriglcy, 2 soldiers, 2 women, 2 children.—Maltby & Co., agents. Oct. 6— Rangoon, barque, 371 tons, Harwood, for Wellington, in ballast, to undergo repairs. Arrival op tee Beautiful Star. —The s.s. Beautiful Star , 125 tons. Captain H. Morwick, left Napier on the 27th September, at 7 p.m., and experienced strong northerly winds, which continued to Poverty Bay. From thence she experienced southerly winds and calms until rounding the East Cape, after which she had strong westerly winds and clear weather, arriving iu the Tamaki at 5 p.m., on Saturday evening. Having discharged her sheep, in all BSS, being the whole number shipped, and whic were landed in snlendid condition, she come up harbour and anchored off the wharf early yesterday morning. Captain Morwick reports that the shippers had no more sheep on hand when she sailed.— Southern Cross Oct. 3. Arrival of the Woxga Woxga. —The N.Z.S. N. Co.’ s.s. Wong a Wong a , Captain F. Thomson, arrived in harbour yesterday from Wellington and Napier. She left Wellington on the 20th'September, at 9 p.m., and anchored off Castle Point at noon on the following day. Discharged cargo, and left same afternoon, at 4 p.m., arriving at Napier on the 22nd, at 8 a.m. Left for Poverty Bay with an excursion party on the 23rd, and returned on the 25th. Left Napier for Auckland on the 26th, at 1 p.m., with a fresh breeze from N.E. and fine weather. Rounded the East Cape at 8 p.m., on the 27th, and experienced strong westerly winds with thunder and lightning whilst crossing the Bay of Plenty. The supply of coals running short, and engines being stopped for 24 hours, bore up
for the Great Barrier, and anchored in Nayles’ Cove at 9 p.m., on the 30th. Having obtained a supply of firewood, left there on the 2nd, and arrived in port at 9,30 a.in., yesterday in ballast. We believe she will be placed on the hard at Mechanics’ Bay this morning for an overhaul.— lbid.
