PEACE AT TAURANGA.

By the Star of the South, which arrived here yesterday from Tauranga and Auckland, we learn that a meeting had taken place between the Governor and the natives, the result of which was that peace should he established, and that the Maories were to receive three-fourths of the land back, while we were to retain one quarter. Pleasant mode of settlement this, certainly, especially for the natives.
