LOCAL INTELLIGENCE.

Resident Magistrate’s Court.—A native named Winiata, was brought up on Tuesday last, charged with stealing a Crimean shirt and about 3yds. of ribbon, of the value of 11s., from the stores of Messrs. Newton, Irvine, & Co. The evidence against him was perfectly clear, and the Resident Magistrate sentenced him to 10 days’ imprisonment, with hard labor.

New Magistrates. —The following gentlemen have been gazetted Justices of the Peace: —John Wilkinson, James -Gordon, Edmund Tuke, James Gibson Kinross and William Fannin, Esquires.
