LOCAL INTELLIGENCE.

Daring Burglary. —The store of Messrs. Robjobns, in Carlyle-street, was forcibly entered on the night of Monday last, and property to the value of upwards of £SO carried off. The shutters of a side window were forced, it is believed with a spade, and then the window latch. On Wednesday, a soldier of the 14th Regiment was brought up at the Resident Magistrate’s Court on suspicion, when it was stated by the chief of police that prisoner had changed a number of small coins at Mr. Gill’s for other money, one of which was identified by Mr. Robjobns as belonging to him. The Bench remanded the prisoner for three days.
