To the Editor of the Hawke's Bay Times.

Dear Sir, —I should like to know, as an Elector of this District whether or not it is the intention of his Honor to issue the Writ for the re-election of our member. It would seem that that high functionary the Superintendent is rather reluctant to stand the chance of his man losing his seat, and therefore defers the issue of the Writ in ]copes of producing something like a reaction. This, however, is not likely to occur, our people being bent on putting out Captain Carter. ' I am, &c., An Elector of the Country Districts.
