Mb. W. D. Barnard reports his weekly sale held last Saturday as follows: —Saddle and light harness horses: nineteen were disposed of at prices varying from £lO to £45, averaging £29 10s. each ; one mare pony and foal was sold for £4O ; two imported very inferior draught geldings, ex Wild Wave from Sydney, for £3B and £4O; also two inferior hacks for £2l and £27. There is no material change in the market since last week regarding prices, but business has been very dull owing to the scarcity of really good draught stock and saddle and light harness horses. —Lyttelton Times, March 2G. Messrs. Matson and Torlesse report having sold about 6000 young ewes, from tbe western district of Victoria, at from 26s to 29s per head ; about 100 pure Southdown ewes, with three rams, at £5 ss. per head : and about 2600 acclimatised ewes, principally aged sheep, at from 20s to 80s. —lbid.
