ELECTION NOTICE. ±"*"N pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled The Provincial Elections Act, 1858, I, John Russell Duncan, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Waipukurau, do hereby give notie A that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 19th March, IS(J3, issued under the hand of his Honor the Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Hay, an Election will be held for the return of ONE qualified person to servo as a member of the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay for the said Electoral District, in lieu of T. P. Russell, Esq., in consequence of his seat having been vacated by his acceptance of a seat in the Executive Council of Hawke’s Hay, and that the nomination of candidates will take place at Mr. T. P. Russell’s Wool-shed, Waipukurau, on Thursday, the 26th March, and that the Poll (if necessary) will take place on Friday, the 27th March, and that I will declare the same at the close thereof. Dated at Waipukurau, thfl> 19th March, 1863. JOHN RUSSELL DUNCAN, Returning Officer. The following are the Polling Places for the Electoral District of Waipukurau:— Mr. P. IN PURSUANCE of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “ The Provincial Elections Act, 1858,” I Frederick John Tifien Esq., Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Porangahau, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 18th day of March, 1863, issued under the hand of His Honor the Superintendent of Hawke’s Bay, an election will be held for the return of ONE qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay for the said Electoral District in the room of John Davis Ormond Esquire, in consequence of his seat having been vacated by his acceptance of a seat in the Excecutivo Council of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at the Resident Magistrate’s Courthouse, at Noon, on Wednesday, the 25th day of March, 1863, and the Poll (if necessary) will take place on Thursday, the 26th day of March, 1863, and that I will declare the same on Friday, the 27th day of March, 1863, at Porangahau.
